2 Years Ago Today, MPD Killed Tekle Sundberg

Two years ago today, on July 14th, 2022, Tekle Sundberg was shot and killed by two Minneapolis Police snipers. Tekle was in the midst of a mental health crisis when he was killed, like the majority of people killed by law enforcement.

Tekle was only 20 years old when he was killed. He was a beautiful, independent, and intelligent spirit. He loved to cook for his family, take care of plants, and was beginning his life when it was stolen from him.

Tekle is greatly missed and we mourn his loss as a community.
