Some GOP Lawmakers are Wearing Assault Rifle Lapel Pins

In the wake of the deadliest year in history for mass shootings, and just over a month into a year which is already beginning to rival 2022’s casualty numbers, some GOP lawmakers have removed their American flag pins and are sporting AR-15 assault rifle pins instead.

Representatives George Santos (R-NY) and Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) are now wearing the controversial pins on the House floor.

“To be promoting them on the floor of the House, is despicable and I think an insult to all of the victims of assault weapons,” Rep. Gregory Meeks (D-NY) insisted.

Luna was spotted wearing the rifle pin during a hearing just days after a gunman in her state shot 11 people.
