Head of Security Steps Down After Refusing to Release Sensitive Info to Doge
Acting Commissioner of the Social Security Administration Michelle King has resigned after refusing to provide access to private taxpayer information to Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) staffers.
King is the latest of several high-ranking officials to step down over concerns about the legality of DOGE’s information requests. DOGE already has access to Treasury Department payments and is making a play to gain access to the Internal Revenue Service’s database.
