Israel and Hamas Agree to Gaza Ceasefire and Hostage Release

After 15-months of fighting, Israel and Hamas have agreed upon a Gaza ceasefire and a multi-phased hostage release plan.

The plan is set to begin on Sunday with Hamas releasing 33 hostages and Israel releasing hundreds of Palestinian hostages currently being held in Israeli jails.

Negotiations around the second phase, which includes the ceasefire and an end to the war, are set to begin 16 days after the first phase of the deal happens.
