Henry Kissinger Dead at 100

November 29, 2023

Former US Secretary of State, National Security Advisor, and Nobel Peace Prize recipient, Henry Kissinger, dead at 100 years old.

Kissinger, who served under Presidents Ford and Nixon, controversially earned the Nobel for helping to negotiate a ceasefire effectively ending the Vietnam War.

However, Kissinger is often remembered less fondly, for overlooking the war crimes of U.S. allies during his leadership roles in government.

In addition to atrocities in Vietnam, Kissinger was largely responsible for military attacks in Laos, Bangladesh, and Cambodia. In Cambodia alone, the attacks killed nearly 150k civilians, according to some estimates.

How will Kissinger be remembered?
