NYC Mayor Eric Adams Indicted on Federal Corruption Charges

BREAKING NEWS!

According to a story first published by the New York Times, NY Mayor Eric Adams has been indicted by a Grand Jury following a months-long corruption probe.

The indictment remains sealed as of this evening, and the charges, at this time, are unclear. However, once made public, Adams will become the first sitting New York mayor to face criminal charges. Sources with knowledge of the situation allege the investigation and charges stem from campaign fundraising violations and foreign influence.

After the news broke earlier this evening, Mayor Adams denied the charges and responded, “I always knew that If I stood my ground for New Yorkers that I would be a target—and a target I became. If I am charged, I am innocent and I will fight this with every ounce of my strength and spirit.”

Adams was elected mayor during New York’s 2021 election. He was a NYPD officer, State Senator, and Brooklyn Borough President, before becoming mayor.

The indictment could be unsealed as early as tomorrow. This is a developing story.
