U of MN Pro-Palestine Encampment Stands

In the city where Minneapolis police murdered George Floyd which subsequently sparked an international uprising, University of Minnesota students have joined the national protest amongst college campuses against the genocide of Palestinians by the Israeli government.

Although the protests have been peaceful, U of MN staff sent a campus-wide email notifying the locking of all buildings on Northrop mall for the students safety. This has largely been the rhetoric other universities have utilized to criminalize the peaceful protests, of which some have been escalated by police presence.
