For the first time in five decades, our Elder and Leksi (Uncle) Leonard has put his feet down in so-called North Dakota, the ancestral lands of his Anishinaabe and Dakota Ancestors.

We are incredibly honored to carry forward the work of generations to bring Leonard home! Countless freedom fighters and allies worldwide have mobilized, organized, marched, rallied, fought, and prayed to see this day. Please continue to keep Leksi Leonard and those around him in your good thoughts and prayers as we do our best to honor him and welcome him home.

It’s a POWERFUL day to be Indigenous!
