George Floyd Square • Demand #23: Drop the Charges Against Non-Violent Protesters From 2016-2017

Several months after the modern-day lynching of George Floyd at the hands of the Minneapolis Police Department, the city of Minneapolis requested to open up the intersection of 38th & Chicago, where Floyd was murdered, to vehicle traffic. The people said no. The 24 Demands of George Floyd Square is an article demanding justice from Minneapolis’ elected city officials, otherwise the streets will not be opened to vehicle traffic. In short: No Justice, No Streets.
