Tennessee Signed a Bill Into Law Today That Bans Gender-Affirming Healthcare for Trans Youth

Tennessee Governor Bill Lee signed at least two bills into law today that have the potential to foster hate and violence against trans people.

In addition to the ban on drag shows, Lee also signed a bill banning gender-affirming healthcare for trans youth.

The new law will go into effect this summer and youth already receiving care will have less than a year to discontinue their medical treatments.
