Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz Signs Executive Order Protecting Rights to Gender-Affirming Healthcare

@mngovernor Tim Walz signed an executive order on Weds to protect the rights of individuals to receive gender-affirming healthcare in the state.

“We want every Minnesotan to grow up feeling safe, valued, protected, celebrated, and free to exist as their authentic versions of themselves,” Walz stated. “Protecting and supporting access to gender affirming health care is essential to being a welcoming and supportive state.”

The executive order would protect LQBTQ individuals who live in, or travel to, Minnesota to receive care.

This news is in direct opposition to recent legislation in many Republican-led states which seeks to ban gender-affirming healthcare.
