Breaking: Iran & Israel Have Just Closed Their Airspace

Iran has launched a retaliatory attack on Israel following Israel’s strike on Iran’s consulate in Syria, which happened last Monday.

According to the government of Iran, Monday’s airstrike killed 12 people, including two generals and five officers. General Mohammad Reza Zahedi was among those killed in the attack. Up until 2016, General Zahedi led the Quds Force in Lebanon and Syria.

Now, Iran has launched over 100 drones towards Israel, which will take several hours to arrive. In response, airspace has been closed throughout the Middle East with flights grounded and diverted in anticipation of the drone attack.

Meanwhile, U.S. President Biden has pledged support for Israel against Iran, and is in meetings with the National Security Council and Israeli leaders.
