George Santos Expelled from House

BREAKING NEWS— Controversial GOP House Representative George Santos has been expelled from the Congress.

This is the second time Santos’ expulsion has been voted upon since he began his term last year. The final, bipartisan vote was 311-114.

In addition to 23 federal fraud charges looming over Santos—all of which he has pleaded not guilty to—he was also recently subject to a House Ethics Committee investigation which brought to light his unethical use of campaign funds.

This historic vote makes Santos the sixth representative to be expelled in the history of the House. It is worth noting that three of the others were expelled after fighting for the Confederacy during the Civil War.
