First Night of Ramadan: Israeli Forces Prevent Palestinians from Entering Al-Aqsa Mosque

Today is the first day of Ramadan, the Muslim holy month. In this video, Israeli occupation forces can be seen blocking Palestinians from entering Al Aqsa mosque to worship.

In Islam, it is believed that the Prophet Muhammad was brought from the Sacred Mosque located in Mecca to Al-Aqsa during the Night Journey, and then from there to heaven.

Worshipers gathered and set up areas to pray in alleyways near the mosque after they weren’t allowed inside.
