Ex Minneapolis Police Officer Who Aided in the Murder of George Floyd, Unrepentant at Sentencing

Tou Thao, one of the former Minneapolis police officers who aided in the killing of George Floyd, has been sentenced by state court to 4 years and 9 months in prison for his role in Floyd’s death. The sentence will run concurrently with the 3.5 year federal sentence Thao is currently serving.

According to reports, Thao was unrepentant in court. “I did not commit these crimes,” Thao stated. “My conscience is clear. I will not be a Judas nor join a mob in self-preservation or betray my God.”
