Keystone Pipeline Leaks 14,000 Barrels of Oil into Kansas Creek

12/11/2022

A Keystone pipeline leak, which was first detected on Wednesday, spilled 14,000 barrels of oil into a creek in northeast Kansas.

This is Keystone’s largest leak to date—larger than any on-shore pipeline spill in nearly a decade.

The pipeline was shutdown Wednesday night, while the company attempted to contain the oil.

Keystone’s largest spill before this week was 6,500 barrels.
