Press Conference Addressing Judge Doty Issuing Remitter

On March 15, 2017, Cordale Handy was shot and killed by Saint Paul cops Nathaniel Younce and Mikko Norman. 6 years later a federal jury found that Younce had violated Cordale's civil rights, and the family of Cordale was awarded 11.5 million dollars in damages. However, after the verdict, Judge Doty issued a remitter that the jury had was "too passionate" and their awarding 11.5 million dollars "shocked the conscience".

Doty soon recused himself and left the family of Cordale to go back to court to uphold the initial jury's decision with a new jury.

After jury selection on the first day of court since the remitter, Cordale's family held this press conference.
